First you must allocate your starting point.
Each skill gives you some advantage (except management for the moment).
Newbie should favour:
The constitution and survival in hostile environment to resist the low temperature which reign on Mars,
The strength and the dexterity to protect aggression.
For the others skills your should be more specialize and an higher rank.
